CoverHome may use rules, statistical methods, and automated tools to organize and rank properties, explain relevance, recommend questions, detect data-quality issues, and personalize the experience. These tools support user-directed discovery and do not make final housing, credit, insurance, or eligibility decisions.
CoverHome is not intended to infer or rank properties based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, familial status, disability, or other protected characteristics. Users should not submit protected-class information in free-text fields.
Where applicable law provides a right to opt out of certain profiling with legal or similarly significant effects, users may submit a request. CoverHome does not intend ordinary home-search ranking to produce such effects.
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, software development kits, local storage, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, secure the Services, measure performance, understand use, and evaluate marketing.
Browser and device settings may allow you to block or delete some technologies, but doing so may affect functionality. Where required, we provide a cookie or privacy preference control.
CoverHome does not sell personal information for money. Certain analytics, advertising, or professional-connection disclosures may be considered “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a “sale” under some state laws even when no money is exchanged. Where applicable, we provide an opt-out and honor recognized universal opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control.
Some preferences, household details, precise location, accessibility information, or communications may be considered sensitive under state law. Provide only information needed for the feature. Do not submit protected-class information or highly sensitive financial, health, identification, or account-access information in free-text fields. Where consent is required to process sensitive data, we request it at or before collection.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain security and audit trails, comply with contracts and law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support business operations.
Retention depends on the type of record, whether an account or waitlist entry remains active, the user’s deletion request, professional or transaction requirements, legal holds, and technical backup cycles. Marketing suppression records may be retained to honor opt-outs.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, such as access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate, logging, monitoring, vendor review, and incident-response procedures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Users are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized activity.

Depending on where you live and whether an applicable law covers us, you may have rights to confirm processing; access; correct; delete; obtain a portable copy; opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; withdraw consent; and appeal a denied request. You may also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.
To submit a request, email privacyandlegal@coverhome.app with the subject “Privacy Request” and identify the product, state of residence, request type, and account email. We may verify your identity and authority. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, but we may require proof of authorization and direct verification with the consumer.
If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to the decision with the subject “Privacy Appeal.” We will explain the result and, where required, how to contact the appropriate regulator. We respond within the time required by applicable law.

We do not sell personal information for money and do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. Where an analytics, advertising, or connection-related disclosure is considered a sale or sharing under California law, eligible users may opt out through available privacy controls or by contacting us.
We do not currently offer a financial incentive or price difference in exchange for personal information. If we introduce one, we will provide a separate notice explaining the material terms and value calculation.
Where required by applicable law, we treat a valid Global Privacy Control or other recognized universal opt-out signal as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising for the browser or device that sends the signal. A signal may not apply across devices or accounts unless you are signed in and the law requires account-level treatment.
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information without required authorization, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
