Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

CoverHome wants everyone to be able to search for a home and connect with professionals on our website. Our goal is for CoverHome to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This is a goal we are working toward, not a statement that the site already meets it.

Where we are today

We have not yet completed a formal accessibility audit or an independent conformance evaluation, so we do not claim that any page conforms to WCAG 2.1 AA. We build with accessibility in mind, for example by using page landmarks, labelled links and form fields, keyboard-focusable controls, and a layout that adapts to small screens, and we are checking pages as we go.

Known limitations

• Some pages, including the home-search experience, maps, and comparison views, are complex and may not work fully with a keyboard or a screen reader yet.
• Listing photos and other images supplied by agents, brokerages, or MLS data feeds may not have descriptive text, and we do not control that content.
• Some content from third parties, such as embedded maps, may not meet the same standard.
• Some colors and text sizes may not yet meet the contrast and resize requirements everywhere, especially in dark mode.
• The optional background music control has not been fully tested with assistive technology. It is off by default and never plays on its own.
• Property, school, and accessibility information on listings is for general guidance only and is not an accessibility evaluation of any home.

If you have trouble using any part of CoverHome, or need information in another format, please email hello@coverhome.app. Tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way, plus the browser and any assistive technology you use if you can. We will review each report and aim to reply within a reasonable time.

We will update this statement as our review and fixes progress. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
