I built CoverHome because I believe that home search is broken. Somewhere along the way, we’ve reduced one of life’s most important decisions to a series of checkboxes and photographs.

Bedrooms. Bathrooms. Square footage. Price.

And then we scroll through pictures, hoping to recognize the right home when we see it.

Having worked in real estate, I’ve seen how much more goes into finding a home. People aren’t simply looking for a property with a certain number of rooms or beautiful photographs. They’re looking for a place that works for them, their families, their routines, and the things that matter most in their lives.

And pictures, as helpful as they are, don’t always tell the whole story.

They might show a beautiful living room but tell us little about whether there’s a quiet place to work. They may highlight a lovely kitchen but reveal nothing about the commute, accessibility, or other practical details that can make or break a home choice for the person considering it.

Yet we make so many of our decisions about which homes deserve a closer look based on those pictures and a handful of filters.

We eliminate properties before we’ve really had a chance to understand what they offer. And sometimes, the home that could have been just right never even makes it onto our list.

I founded CoverHome because I believed we could do better.

I wanted to build a way to search that respects where you want to live and what you can afford, while helping you discover the features and possibilities that traditional searches might overlook.

A search that doesn’t automatically discard a home because it lacks one preferred feature. One that helps you understand why properties might be good matches, compare what’s available, and decide which homes you’d actually like to see.

And when you’re ready to take that next step, I believe you should have the freedom to do so with the real estate professional you choose.

I also wanted to give agents and brokerages better tools to help the people who place their trust in them.

Finding a home shouldn’t mean trying to make your life fit a search engine.

Your home search should work for you.
